In Zeiten der Wanderung, des Umbruchs, der Suche, des Neuanfangs, blicken zwei Malerinnen auf blinde Flecken. Sie blicken in die Ferne und ins Heimisch-Nahe. Sie finden fließendes Licht, vibrierende Farben, transzendente Stimmungen im dunklen Dickicht. Wildnis, Fremdheit, Nähe, Spannung. Sie finden exotische Welten, erobern unbekanntes Land. Tiere, Menschen, Pflanzen. Doch und vor Allem, finden sie Tiere. Zwei Malerinnen stampfen durch sumpfigen Morast, blättern in Archiven, kriechen durch Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. Es atmet, faucht, wird still. Brunftschrei, Lockruf, Echo.Zwei Malerinnen jagen. Wild, unzähmbar, sanft und bedächtig. Sie jagen nach Tieren, die es gab und solchen, die es gibt. Aber auch nach Tieren, von denen man sich wünscht, daß es sie geben könnte und solchen, von denen man hofft, daß es sie nie geben wird.

In times of migration, upheaval, search, new beginnings, two painters look at blind spots. They look into the distance and into the homely-near. They find flowing light, vibrant colors, transcendent moods in the dark thicket. Wilderness, strangeness, closeness, tension. They find exotic worlds, conquer unknown lands. Animals, people, plants. But above all, they find animals. Two painters trudge through swampy morass, leaf through archives, crawl through past and present. It breathes, hisses, becomes silent. Rutting cry, call, echo.
Two painters hunt. Wild, untamable, gentle and deliberate. They hunt for animals that existed and those that exist. But also for animals of which one wishes that they could exist and those of which one hopes that they will never exist.
