Die bildende Künstlerin aus Leipzig präsentiert in ihrer ersten Ausstellung in Portugal Zeichnungen und Collagen zu einem der größten literarischen Erfolge des 19. Jahrhunderts. Durch die für sie charakteristische Verwendung von Tusch- und Aquarellfarben eröffnet sie neue Sichtweisen auf die Erzählung des Dichters, Weltreisenden und Kulturvermittlers Adelbert von Chamisso. Das einst für Kinder und Jugendliche verfasste Werk regt auch heutzutage noch zur Reflektion über das moralische Denken und Handeln in unserer Gesellschaft an. Anija Seedler unterstreicht diese Gedankengänge und schafft eine Interpretation, die vor allem dem emotionalen und sinnlichen Aspekt der Geschichte folgt und damit sowohl Kinder als auch Erwachsene anspricht.

In her first exhibition in Portugal, the visual artist from Leipzig presents drawings and collages on one of the greatest literary successes of the 19th century. Through her characteristic use of ink and watercolors, she opens up new perspectives on the story of the poet, world traveler and cultural mediator Adelbert von Chamisso. The work, once written for children and young people, still inspires reflection on moral thinking and action in our society today. Anija Seedler emphasizes this train of thought and creates an interpretation that primarily follows the emotional and sensual aspect of the story and thus appeals to both children and adults.
A publication of the pictures with texts by the German-Iranian author Sudabeh Mohafez will appear shortly.
